Welcome to Hampton Sailing Club
Your Home on Port Phillip Bay
Welcome to Hampton Sailing Club, Bayside’s most welcoming water sports community. Whether you're a seasoned racer, a beginner keen to paddle, or just looking for the perfect view, you've found your home. Our club is built on a proud and inclusive legacy, founded by the pioneering women of the Victorian Ladies Yacht Club (VLYC).
Racing & Sailing
From first-race nerves to podium finishes, HSC's Sunday sailing program runs spring through autumn on Port Phillip Bay, open to all boat classes up to 5 metres — no preferred fleet, no catamarans — backed by a dedicated volunteer race management team. For those brave enough to face the winter water, Winter Warriors is also run every month through winter, and from spring through autumn we run social sails every Tuesday for a more relaxed way to get on the bay. Club kayaks available for use by members and sail pass users if you don't have a dinghy of your own.
Kayaking & Paddle Boards
Prefer a quieter pace? Our Paddle hub is the easiest way into kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding on Port Phillip Bay — no racing experience needed. Families and first-timers are especially welcome, with a friendly, low-pressure introduction to life on the water. Club Kayaks available for member use for those without their own watercraft.
Events
There's always something on the calendar at HSC. Beyond our weekly Sunday racing program, we run a full social calendar — Friday night BBQs, sunset drinks on the deck, and seasonal regattas throughout the year.
